HOW WE WOULD / 04 · FASHION / RETAILFictional scenario. No client data

Admired online. Chosen in the showroom.

Make the brand worth remembering. Make the visit worth taking.

01 / THE SITUATION

Where does admiration stop turning into a decision?

Imagine an independent premium fashion brand with a showroom and an online store. The collection attracts attention, but the team cannot explain which communication brings people in, which visits lead to a purchase or why buyers choose a competitor. The ambition is to grow full-price sales and become a stronger local choice.

The business
A fictional premium brand with a physical showroom, online sales and limited appointment capacity.
The objective
More attended visits and full-price purchases; stronger awareness in the relevant local audience.
The open question
Is the constraint recognition, a reason to visit, availability or the experience once someone arrives?
STARTING DECISION / FOR THIS SCENARIO

Make the fitting experience the reason to visit.

Show what happens, who helps and what can be chosen. Connect the creative idea to a clear booking page and available showroom appointments.

WHAT COULD CHANGE THE CHOICEIf people understand the experience but cannot find the right size, timing or product, fix that constraint first.

02 / WHAT WE WOULD CHECK

Start with the questions that matter.

Working hypotheses

01

The brand blends in

People like the images but cannot recall the brand or its difference.

WHAT WE WOULD TESTTest a distinctive idea, recognizable assets and a specific occasion to choose the brand.

02

The visit has no clear value

The site inspires, but hides the price range, fitting process or practical details.

WHAT WE WOULD TESTShow what happens in the showroom and what the customer can decide there.

03

Demand meets a real constraint

Bookings are relevant, but sizes, lead times or available appointments do not match demand.

WHAT WE WOULD TESTRepair the offer and capacity before buying more visits.

The evidence we would need

Why people choose

Interview recent buyers, non-buyers and the showroom team. Compare occasion, alternatives, objections and the language customers use.

From attention to purchase

Connect campaign, booking, attendance and purchase records where appropriate. Include walk-ins and customers who buy later online.

The local competitive set

Define the actual category and catchment. Compare reasons to choose, availability, pricing and experience, rather than follower counts.

CREATIVE DIRECTION / A REASON TO VISIT

Some decisions need a fitting room.

CREATIVE PROPOSAL / ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
03 / THE CREATIVE IDEA

How the idea could take shape.

Give the physical experience a clear job: feel the fabric, see the proportions and find the right fit. Use consistent collection imagery, material close-ups and real fitting sequences. One idea connects recognition with a useful next step.

AWARENESS / SHORT FILM

A fabric. A movement. A fit that feels yours.

Introduce a recognizable visual sequence and the brand’s point of view. Finish with the showroom experience.

CONSIDERATION / CAROUSEL

What happens at your first fitting?

Explain the appointment, price range, timing and available options. Give the visit substance.

ACTION / LOCAL PAGE

Come and try your next outfit.

Show the location, available appointments and preparation details, with one clear booking action.

04 / WHAT WE BUILD

From an idea to an experience that works.

What the project would deliver

01

A recognizable campaign system

One core idea, repeatable image and motion rules, and adaptations for collection discovery, occasions and local intent.

02

A connected showroom journey

A useful location page, simple booking, confirmation, rescheduling and a showroom team that knows what the customer was shown.

03

A learning loop

A lightweight location-level record of attended visits, purchase outcomes and reasons for not buying. Feed that learning into the offer and communication.

CHANNELS / CHOICES AND ROLES

Where we would put the idea to work.

01

Meta / the fitting story

Start with a short fitting film and a practical carousel that lead to the same booking page.

Look at the booking journey and attended visits alongside creative response.

02

Google Search / local intent

Answer relevant searches with location, price range and appointment details.

Check suitability and availability, including calls and walk-ins.

03

YouTube / TikTok

Consider a separate creative test once production and the first journey work. Use a film for explanation or a short demonstration for discovery.

Choose one next test the team can produce and evaluate; do not divide the budget across every channel.

How the parts connect

The fitting story continues in organic content, search answers and the booking page. Retargeting could explain sizing, price context or what happens at the visit. The showroom team completes that promise in person. Appropriate follow-up, care information and email for a relevant future occasion give the relationship a purpose beyond the first booking.

How we connect the marketing mix
05 / HOW WE MEASURE

Measure the objective, one step at a time.

Awareness and consideration
Use comparable research in the intended audience. Branded searches support interpretation; they do not prove recall on their own.
Attended visits
Compare bookings, show-ups and walk-ins by location and period. A click for directions is only a signal of intent.
Full-price contribution
Read purchase rate, margin after variable costs, returns and repeat purchase together, including offline sales.
Local market share
Use brand sales divided by a credible total for the same category, geography and period. Without that denominator, report a competitive indicator rather than a share claim.

Google’s store-visit reporting is modeled and subject to eligibility; it supplements the showroom’s own records. Brand Lift availability must also be checked before promising a study. A comparable audience or location test can help separate campaign effects from seasonality when the sample allows it.

LIMITS / BEFORE WE COMMIT

What we would hold back, and what would change the plan.

What we would not do yet

  • A discount-led campaign before understanding why people hesitate.
  • More footfall when appointment capacity or the offer cannot serve it.
  • A market-share claim built from ad impressions or followers.

What would change our mind?

If local recognition is already strong and qualified visitors buy at a healthy contribution, the constraint may be reach or available capacity. We would then expand the proven message into relevant occasions or catchments, with operations ready to support it.

The working sequence

First understand. Then test and adapt.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Map the choice

Review customer conversations, local alternatives and the path from interest to purchase.

02 / BUILD

Make the visit tangible

Develop the creative idea, location journey and measurement definitions before launching a bounded test.

03 / LEARN

Expand what earns a visit

Review attendance and contribution alongside brand signals; improve the experience before widening distribution.

An illustrative sequence; timing and investment follow the real context.
